Is anyone up with the latest head units and differences etc? I can look on a site and look at all the 3 letter abbreviations etc but what do they mean!?

Basically, I have an E46 with the old school tape unit and CD changer in the boot. I had Bluetooth in my old car and an aux in and I miss playing my iPod or iPhone. Sick of changing CD's all the time.

I would like a head unit that will charge my phone, allow me control of my iPod, and also allow me to make and receive calls through the head unit and show who is calling/phonebook etc.

I only want to spend as much as I need to. I'm aware that I'll lose my CD changer as it's not possible to retain a BMW changer.

Am I missing anything or can I just buy;

With the required ISO cable and fascia and be good to go?

Thanks guys, I just want something that isn't too blingy to look at, will attract no attention and will just do it's job with no fuss.

In terms of cables, can't I just use my standard iPhone cable, got loads of them lying around.
