What car is an icon in Europe, a good seller in the UK but is also sold across the pond in the USA. What car and make am I thinking?!
Fun Bus - What I meant is that the model of car was in production before the facelift and then the facelift came along when they decided to launch this model and/or trim level that I am thinking. Sorry for any confusion.

It is a small city car that was and/or is a rival to a british success. The car in question is from the car maker that also famously made a car that could transport eggs across fields without them cracking. It has a fairly extensive range of options that appeal to your tastes, but maybe not someone elses. There are three basic trim levels and two engine options. What car am I thinking?
