We're away for a long weekend in a couple of weeks time.

West coast of Wales SA44 postcode- Llandysul to be precise which is apparently south of Aberystwyth. Leaving from Sheffield.

Google suggests a couple of routes....

1: Chester - Mold - Snowdonia

2: A38 - Birmingham - Telford - Shewsbury - Newtown

3: Peak District - Stoke - Shrewsbury - Newtown

Which would people advise and which is going to give me the best / most interesting roads and scenary?

Cheers

OP why do you want to go to Newtown , it's sucks.
Anyway,Chester/Bala/Machynlleth then from there you can go to Newtown if you wish.
Thanks all.

Looks like option one is the choice so far.

We don't want to go to Newtown - just picked town names from the routes google offered - Newtown was in two of those routes.

It was a winner until I saw that it took in the M25.
