It's even stevens for me - they denied a claim on a new radiator as it had failed due to corrosion (on a 5 year old vehicle?) but approved a claim for a new intercooler, which had been rubbing against another part and worn through.

Personally I'd have been far better off just putting the money paid to WD into an emergency car fund, but had it been a turbo or injector failure then it would have been worthwhile.

Always haggle the rates as they have a lot of room for manouvre, never accept they're first price. They will call back again with a better price. Check the T&Cs as a lot of worthwhile policy cover is only included in extra add-on packages.
tjlees, thanks.

what car have you got vrs?
