Will try to avoid the above, but if not is it worth getting one of these just in case?

No not really, I have one but I go a fair bit, not sure what company you have linked but the genuine company is here: https://www.saneftolling.co.uk/

If you are only planning on the odd trip and are looking to miss the paeges any way just pay as you go, very easy and doesn't take much time, rarely any major queues, certainly nothing like the Dartford crossing.

I do however enjoy leapfrogging the French they don't expect a UK car to be going through the fast lane.
the link i have out on here is for the vignettes, i hope (as i have bought one for Switzerland)..

Not sure I understand, there is no "vignette" for France as per Austria and Switzerland, In France you pay per trip on the motorways, not for a year or month etc...

The link you placed was for the hire of an electronic tag to raise the barrier and charge your account back in the UK, they seem to be very expensive, as well as the machine hire charges you pay the tolls +9%.

The link I placed is direct with Sanef, and is a lot cheaper.
sorry, yes, i should be more clear. i have bought the vignette from swiss. Guess i dont need the ticket for france really, especially as it cost 40 euros.

The link i put on here is for the vignette right?
