Are snow chains for one size only, or are they adjustable?

Looking to buy some snow chains.

Ideally I would like to use them potentially on different cars, ie take them with us should we be in my car or the wife's, or indeed a friends.

My car has 16" wheels, so are they adjustable a bot for say 15" or 17" wheels, or are they strictly one size of wheel only?

I understand what you are saying-I realise that you cant go from 15 inch to 20 inch, but perhaps 15-16" is possible.

It's only possible if the wheel/tyre combo is effectively the same size. You will need to input your exact tyre size to get the right chain.

Be aware that chains are not v.easy to put on and will be of ltd use in the UK.
