Insurance drop this year - anyone else?
Discussion
For the last few years, it has cost me circa 300 - 350 quid to insure my 13-year old VAG turbo, value £1500, fully-comp. That included an excess of 300 quid, rising to 500 quid last year.
Suddenly this year, with the same car and all the same insuring criteria - the policy has dropped to just over 200 quid. A considerable saving, but even better, this price this year is also now with a zero excess for all claims, including a zero excess 'unlimited' claim for windscreens.
How come? NCB this year is 10 years, up from 9 last year - which I thought was the maximum anyway?
Strange. But happy days! Anyone else?
