Why I chose it: "A proper 'marmite' car. Rare in this country, it's a retro-hot-rod-drop-top-truck with a 6.0-litre Corvette engine under the bonnet - a great cruiser with plenty of room as well. I think it looks fantastic in black. And it's guaranteed that wherever you go, there won't be another one!"

Vauxhall Zafira VXR

Why I chose it: "I have a family so I can't just have a series of two seaters! This car is so much fun. OK, so it's a FWD people carrier with a bit too much power to work in the wet, but it's much more chuckable than the Audi S4 I sold it for. And it doubles up as a van! I already have a red one, so this is my choice."

Why I chose it: "My future classic investment. Already prices are rocketing for these since only last year - powered by the Clio Williams engine, they're not particularly quick but they are unique. I drove one a few years back and concluded it was both the worst and best car I'd ever driven. The build quality was shoddy and the clutch ridiculously heavy but you really felt like part of the machine once it got going. I was so close to buying it for only £12,500. Really wish I had. Has to be in yellow!"
