In my younger days, I often used to go out for a Sunday afternoon drive, and had a group of dealerships where there was always something rare on display.
Modena in East Horsley, Duncan Hamilton in Bagshot, Bramley's on the A281 in Bramley, Talacrest and Maranello.
Was always nice to see some rare stuff on display, like the odd 959 in Bramley, Daytona Spyder at Modena etc.
I saw most of the 80's and 90's supercars on these little excursions.
I only recently saw a Bugatti EB110 though, last weekend at Supervettera.
One remaining car that I have yet to see though, is an Aston One Seven Seven.
Rarest thing I have seen in the flesh though is an Alfa Romeo Disco Volante (the one in this article)

Given where I work and live I have seen pretty much everything, however I've still yet to see a Bugatti Veyron, any Koenigsegg (sp?), Spyker, Porsche 918 or Carrera GT.

Back in the day, I used to see McLaren F'1's quite regularly, they were tested in my local area as the factory was in the next town and I used to see P1's quite often too a few years back and I regularly see camouflaged McLaren's.

I've only ever seen a Porsche 959 on the road once.
If your anywhere near Sunningdale, Supervettera have a Spyker shoved out the back, in front of Mayback, next to the F40 smile

and how about cars you've seen fleetingly and just once? Two for me spring to mind

- 288GTO : late '80s near Twickenham
- Veyton : around 7 years back in London, passing Selfridges side entrance during 'the season'
- Zonda : Similar circumstances
I've seen a Veyron on the road once, "abandoned" out the back of Harrods. Also was in London with a mate before I had an interest in cars, and he get hugely excited when we saw a 288 got parked up in Bayswater. Meant nothing to me at the time smile
