What's going to happen to performance and tuning with EVs?

It's something I've been pondering for a while now.

With ICE's set to disappear, what will this mean for tuning cars, and performance cars in general? Of course you can fit a more powerful motor (like I used to in the days of racing Tamiya RC cars), but they just use up the battery quicker.

I'm genuinely intrigued to get people's thoughts on what will happen to the huge industry that is performance tuning...

(obviously I know some areas e.g. suspension, bodywork etc will be less-affected)

This makes me a bit sad. People who are into cars have always customised them to varying degrees - making them individual etc.

True, but not all EVs will achieve those numbers. And that is only available on the top spec S, anyway.
