Can I drive any car with fully comp insurance?

Hi guys,

I am planning to get an F80 M3 soon however as I am 25 with 6 points I got a few quotes and my premium is coming up around 4k which is very high.

I was thinking about buying a smart car and getting full comp insurance (with a company that allows me to drive any car). Will I have any issues with the driving the M3 then?

The M3 will have fully comp insurance with my Dad.
