So according to this thread most popular fast affordable cars on sale today are chav?
I read it as "Nice cars owned by people younger than me". Must all be chavs/criminals/criminal chavs living on borrowed money, it's the only explanation.
some serious drug dealing if it's a Range Rover with big wheels / a rubbish one if it's older

Oh dear oh dear. I've been using àn MGTF for the last four years as a weekend roof off funster and bald head tanner.
Then there are the old Vauxhall (particularly Zafira) haters. Guess what my dad drives? He bought a new Zafira 14 years ago attracted by a need for a cleverly packaged 7 seater to transport his grandchildren. The Zafira offered, at the time, the roomiest interior within one of the smallest footprints. It also had the best seat arrangement and believe it or not, by people carrier standards it wasn't too bad a drive at all.
Dad has looked after it and the car still feels tight, reliable and drives well.

Does all this make me a chav son of a chav?
I have rectified this appauling lack of judgement:

Range Rover (ESP the Sport)
Any Form of Modern MG - Except the MGTF
Vauxhall Corsa

Why the frequent desire in General Gassing to brand others as chavs, “council” etc talk about “despising” certain cars and their owners etc ?

It’s very odd.

The BMW and Audi just look like the majority of BMWs and Audis to me.

Wondering what that says about me :-)
I think with that Audi it's the way it's parked and the attitude it represents. You just know the owner is a some tattooed gym bunny who uses instagram and #squadgoals
It probably has one of those hideous gas mask “baby on board” stickers on the rear as well. Just to highlight to us we can support their offspring for the next 18 years.

Every single car ever. Ever. All of them, especially yours dear reader and the one you're about to buy.
Possibly the greatest post on Pistonheads ever. hehe

"Dear reader", "yours", and "the one you're about to buy" - all words economically damning you today, and forever.

Love it
You don't think its a motoring journalist masquerading as a humble PH'er?

Or a man called "Colin" who goes to Llandudno once a year in the Morris morris traveller with his sister?

Or "Nige" from Basildon (loves motorbikes & making barbeques for faaaamilly gatherings)?

The posibilities are endless but I welcome other thoughts on this mystery hero.

Because most English people are insufferable snobs with deeply ingrained obsessions with status, hierarchy, perception of class (newsflash, you're all proles) and trying to find whatever tiny thing they can that makes them feel better than the next man.
Or just chavs have just proliferated all facets of British culture.10 years ago it was bulldogs and Burberry. Now it is bodybuilding and benzs, cash and Cristal etc..
Or Golf R's for those on the ladder ! or Breakthrough Chav car of the year................ White Audi A6 On 20's parked on double yellaass innit

One American car is probably Ok.

But anyone with a collection? That’s faux tiger skin sofa territory.
Ahem................. reads like the fianalists of the chavvy choice awards 2014 or what car to drive to gay pride in 2018

Current Fleet

Renault Megane 2 R26 F1 - I wanted a golf R but it was too expensive

Kia Sportage KX5 - st

Toyota Aygo Platinum stter but reliable

Proton Satria AWD Evolution Turbo - Sounds like a microwave
