So, here is something that I don't think has a current thread on it.

Do you have a list of cars that you hate, for pretty miniscule reasons?

Here's mine:

The Fiat 500, particularly the "Pop" (base model). I think it is overpriced, overplayed, and in the wrong spec pretty darn ugly! I've never liked them but I think my irrational hatred has stemmed from my sister buying a red base model. I hate red on and in cars, and don't understand why anyone would buy a base model of any car (if you can't afford it go a segment lower if buy nearly new). Thus I've just come to hate every 500. I love the Abarth though, as it is completely different to a normal Fiat.

Any MPV. I just don't understand them. You sacrifice looks, driving, economy (sometimes) for what? "Practicality"? An estate or SUV does the exact same purpose as an MPV but on the whole looks better, drives better (depends on SUV) and quite a few have surprisingly good economy for their size. I never always used to hate MPVs, I just saw them as "another car" until recently. I think my hatred has come from my dad owning a 2006 Citroen Xsara Picasso for 7 years, the 7 years where I properly started learning about cars rather than just liking them.

Nissan Juke.

Nismo might be ok but never driven one, never want to.
Very understandable choice, I expect many will agree with you. I personally don't find them that bad, although I've never driven one.

Why would you hate MPVs? I don't understand that. They are more practical than an equivalent SUV for carrying people, and that's what you are buying them for. I wish people would just accept they need an MPV rather than buying yet another ugly oversized SUV.
I gave my reasons, and I did put estate in as well. If given the choice I would buy an estate rather than an SUV, but an SUV is far more popular to the general public which is why I included it

For me, it's any SUV. I've corrected your post to explain my own reasons:

"I just don't understand them. You sacrifice looks, driving, economy for what? "Practicality"? An estate does the exact same purpose as an SUV but on the whole looks better, drives better and quite a few have surprisingly good economy for their size."

Hence, the ultimate irrational hatred of mine:

Porsche Cayenne.

Why buy?
I love Porsche so I can’t say anything about that one

However, I did put estate before SUV, and I do personally prefer an estate as well, an SUV is more popular to the general public though which is why I included it

The BMW Picasso thing . I think most if not all bmws are horrifically ugly and overly aggressive looking but that thing just takes the biscuit.

Also VW campervans and transporters. Drove by pretentious middle class throbs
I fully agree with your BMW Picasso thing. Didn’t even think about the BMW MPVs but they are certainly included in my hatred!

Citroen Xsara Picasso. Looks like a testicle on wheels, generally driven badly by sweaty fat wkers with a bad attitude, Topped off with a generous sprinkling of obese offspring.
I do actually hate them.
Agree with that, hated my dad’s (although I’m very very skinny)

Either most of you accept that your hates are irrational or you don't understand the OP.
What do you mean? Most people have done exactly as expected. The only reason I put irrationally is so that we don't have the people who start abuse because reasoning is rubbish

You can't hate something that doesn't currently exist on public roads.
I get why you want to hate them, but you can't sit saying they are dreadful when you've never "driven" one

It seems that I'm the only one that likes the Juke? I think it looks pretty good when compared to the likes of the Ford Ecosport.

I despise the new E-Pace Jaguar though, I think it looks awful. The design looks alright on the F-Pace's larger dimensions but it just looks wrong on the smaller car. It's just too short for it to work. From pictures, it looks smaller than some hatchbacks which is absurd. I think its to do with the rear c pillar.
I quite like the Juke to, I would certainly only one over the competition such as the EcoSport which I also dreadfully hate

I don't hate the E-pace, but I do agree that it certainly isn't as good looking as competitors or it's big brother

OK, so you didn't understand your own post! If the hatred is irrational, then you cannot put down reasons to justify it. That is the meaning of the word!
Oh big deal, I used the wrong word. Everyone else manages to not have a huge fit about it...
My aim was to not have a stupidly long title but also not just have peoplenlisting every car they kinda dislike.

It would have been an interesting thread. There is a "cars you hate" thread just about every month.
But this isn't a "cars you hate" thread... This is a "cars you hate for pretty miniscule reasons" thread...
Anyway, considering I searched "cars you hate" before making this thread and the only one that came up was from 2008 I think your timescale is a bit out. I'm not saying you're lying before you get all offended but there certainly isn't one every single month

Citroen Xsara Picasso

Every single one is shagged beyond belief. One hub cap missing, massive car park scrapes, never been washed, boot lid dent from reversing into gates, cracked wing mirrors, interiors completely shot to peices by milk stains, bogeys, broken CD shards and annoying brats kicking the back of the seat. They need to be put out of their misery.

PT Cruiser

For people who belong inside a walled community left to their doom.

MGB/MG Midget

Because I'd choose the PT Cruiser first.
Completely correct about the Picasso. My dad's looked alright from the outside but it was ragged every single day possible, red-line at the traffic light grand prix 2 minutes after starting it. Impeccably reliable though, he only had one problem with it.

You don't like the MGB!? Why!? It's going to be my first classic, hopefully this year

There seems to be a huge hatred for the Nissan Quahqai.

My dad smacked his Toyota Urban Cruiser into the side of a Peugeot a few months after buying it. We got a 2017 Quahqai as a courtesy car, lovely thing, best car I've ever been in (not saying much though). Did have a habit about beeping when going over the centre line, which on a tight, twisty Scottish country road is unavoidable on certain corners (safely of course)
