Cars that made no impact or contribution to motoring
Discussion
So, whilst driving home tonight, wishing i'd worked harder at school after seeing no less than three 18 plate Range Rovers and 2 M3s, I thought about what cars have manufacturers made that truely no one will remember with fondness as they were so beige and pushed no boundaries... my first thought was this, but what are your thoughts?
That car and it's predecessors, transported millions of people around the globe.
In the UK it gave the masses access to reliable cars in the 70's and 80's, Gala Bingo would not be where it is today without that car transporting Doris and her cronies, and it kept countless corner shops open when you needed.

Vauxhall Tigra, yet the puma gets lots of love.
The original Tigra was quite a desirable car when new, my wife wanted one but we ended up with a Golf as the dog couldn't get in the back of a Tigra. The Puma was a better drivers car but back in the early nineties, a lot of people were really happy with a Tigra, or even a Calibra, the Frontera was pretty trendy back then as well.

Oh give over, under the dull body is most of an Alfasud, a fine handling if slightly porous beast. I always wanted get a Nissan Cherry Europe (the Nissan version) which us utterly bland and stuff a quad-cam 33 engine in it. That would have been most amusing.
