Tyres for powerful RWD car
Discussion
Looking for the grippiest tyres possible for my supercharged Monaro. Off the line grip is more important than wear as I don’t do many miles and it likes to light up the back tyres.
Got Continental SportContact 5p on at the moment and they’ve been pretty good.
Now thinking of Continental SportContact 6 or
Michelin Pilot sport 4s.
Any opinions or other suggestions?

Have you looked online for tyre reviews?
Yes, that’s how I narrowed it down to those two. Most reviews are from drivers of hot hatches though. Not heavy, rwd cars with more power than grip. Would value first hand experience. Road legal drag radials would be good!

I used the cheapest I could find on my VE GTS, which last time round were "Durons".
Why spend a lot? They were going to get turned into smoke anyway.
I had a set of Falkens on it for a about 6m before replacing with Contis. Falkens were terrifying in the wet and not something I want to repeat. Why spend a lot? They were going to get turned into smoke anyway.
