Broken key - Peugeot

An elderly motorist whom I know has a Peugeot 406 (yom 99/00) but since of late the keys have got damaged due to age as the plastic casing is broken and remote does not work so have to open the car manually

Any ideas if there are independent places who can cut and re-program a key as going to a Peugeot dealer is not worth as it will cost more £'s than the car -
