I pulled into my car park and spotted the passenger side tyre of the car next to me was as bald as my head!!! Honestly, it was so bald it looked like a formula one car tyre.
I casually walked around the car and was not surprised to see the same on the driver side and both rear wheels with about half a mill of tread on each.
I scribbled a little note to put on the windscreen and it follows.... Hi, I have just noticed your tyres and need to let you know that you will be awarded three points for each of your tyres and a hefty fine even possibly killing someone. Goodluck!!!!
I don't really know what else to do except keep away from all black Renault megans in the Swadlincote area.
I even watched the car owner who was incidentally a visiting nurse in a blue uniform go to her car, pick up the note and screw it up, got in her car and drove off.
Do you think she has gone straight to the tyre place? I should hope so and considering her profession is to heal people I would hope she has a conscience which is pricked when she steps into her car in the morning.

I don't believe it!!! shes back again with her bald tyres. I left another note saying that she has a social obligation to safeguard other road users and pedestrians from injury or even death. I said in the note that I have reported her to the police but I haven't because I wouldn't know where to go to report her or at least I don't want to be a grass. What do I do now? Also, the whole point of forums is to discuss this kind of things so the guy who finds it strange that I started on the forum to talk about bald tyres??? Is this what forums are for? and where do I start on a forum if not with a genuine question regarding safety and responsibility. Thanks for the support matey jagnet!!!!!

Yea that's funny!! make a joke about food banks and tyre banks. This is not a laughing matter!! This nurse is driving a death trap and could wipe out a whole family in one go. I just pray its not someone I know who might get hurt and she would end up with seven years for driving a vehicle in the condition its in....

She came to my window, the other day and asked me directly if it were me putting "THREATENING"! notes on her car window.
I instinctively said "No!" and wondered if I should have said to her that is "was" me putting polite observations on 2 successive notes regarding the state of her tyres and the repercussions for the rest of her life if God forbid she was involved in an accident involving herself and others.
Incidentally, Her car was not top class well maintained, but not a rental or lease standard, so it was obvious she was responsible for the maintenance of the vehicle and the only person responsible to a policeman who would be more interested in her tyres.
I am really talking minus 1mm on the fronts and at least 1mm on the back.
The vision of those tyres will haunt me for the rest of my life because I swear I will never see a set of illegal tyres ever again like that.
I just hope shes sorted it now x
