Apologies if this been done before but I don't remember seeing it and a search came up empty. Mods, please delete if so.

The game is to count upwards, using an official model name of a car that contains the next number.

Rules:

  • Racing cars allowed, as long as they were actually built.
  • Concept cars allowed if it is/was driveable, so no concepts, renders or static models.
  • Number has to be part of the official model name i.e. not just a power output
To get going and demonstrate, I'll do the first few:

BMW 1 Series
Mazda 2
Ford Escort XR3i
VW Transporter 4 Motion

How high can we get?

Jaguar XJ13 (if a racing car that never raced counts)
Good point. I think we should include racing cars, I've updated the opening post to say so.

What about in a few cars time when someone inevitably posts Clio 172 and then 182?
They are the model names so that's OK.

I've been out all day and am extremely impressed it's got this high already!
(even though one was a plane) hehe

Might be pushing my luck with the pedants for this one but some of us aren't taking it as seriously as others...

Nah I think that's OK, the diversity makes it more fun.

Looking up a model I don't recognise to find things like armoured cars is great (plus we might need it if the numbers keep ticking up like this smile)

Well done to those filling in the iffy ones though. clap

It's becoming apparent to me that German Armoured car designations make pretty good passwords.

Clio 182 and the V6 255 are fine (IMO) but the ridiculous long winded google catch all descriptions aren't....

Yeah OK. I can update the rules but I'm not sure how to word it to distinguish between a Clio 182 and a Vauxhall Astra Sport SE LD DFS AKA 130?

How about: included in model name is OK, but the model edition is not?

Nobody refers to that Astra as a ”130”. It's not a model designation it's a power output.

The Clio 1*2, Focus ST170, etc are models.
OK, added a rule to the first post.

Are military vehicles allowed? If so WS291 Flakpanzer, then Mercedes C292 (GLE class coupes).
Yeah military model names are fine.

Do model/chassis codes count though? Lola T292
I think with sports cars, it should be the model as it would be described on the entry list.

I imagine the Lola designations would be listed (?) so they're OK.

I think we're on 293 at the moment.
