Not RS not S line, just S.
Be it ragging it through town centre at 40+ in a 30 or up your arse in the overtaking lane on the MW/DC despite there being traffic ahead preventing progress. Had this on A12 at weekend.
I get that Audi dont so some cars in RS spec (i think?) but why are S cars often driven as if they have something to proove?

I only see it consistently with the S variants. Be it S3 screaming up the town centre on a friday night, or s5/6 up your arse.
RS's are fine, ive only seen a few but never driven like bellends ime,

Aw did a faster car overtake you and make you all upset? Oh diddums.
Don't think an S3 would be quite as quick as his Alfa...The S8 plus will do 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, faster than the Alfa.

It’s very quick, fastest S in the range and faster than some of the RS models...
... thus making this thread kinda stupid.
ive just googled it, seems its a special S+ version is the big boy. It seems to be in place of an RS8 (which deosn't seem to exist?)... thus making this thread kinda stupid.
wonder how many of these beats exist on UK roads, love to see one.

Perhaps you should edit your OP to reflect only the S cars you have a problem with.
has this turned into an argument about what the fastest car?! whose dad is the hardest? whose todger is bigger?!
again how odd.
want some fish with that chip...jeez
wonder what you were banned for in your previous username on here?

Out of interest, what track(s) is the S8 the quicker then the smaller 'S' models? Genuine question as I imagine its quite a lump to stop and take bends at speed.... thus making this thread kinda stupid.
sorry i should be busy editing the OP as apparently this is about how fast they go now

Your OP suggests that those who drive S cars have something to “proove” however you seem to only have concern towards the slower S cars in the lower model range such as S1-S5.
So therefore generalising the whole S range is wrong.
Maybe people just choose certain S cars because it’s right for them?
Perhaps they want something a bit quicker than an A but not as ‘mid life crisis’ as an RS.

where have i expressed concern against specifically the 'slower' S cars. yes ive used 2 examples admittedly that i put s3 and 5 in, but i could easily replace the numbers of the car (apart from s8 as have never seen one) in the examples if i so wished as S6/7's are driven even more aggressively than the others.
im generalizing my experience in the southeast as that's all i can go on. ime they are driven like cockwombles in an aggressive manner, and there's plenty around here. your opinion is different. if we all thought the same would be pretty boring world.
as someone posted above, the m cars, amgs and RS are driven sensibly on the main that i see.
i would hardly say RS is mid life crisis car than any other nice whip is.

Indeed!
Some of the comments in this thread and others like it (regardless of marque) are in some cases very infantile! "All Audi drivers are cocks"
Those that make sweeping generalisations clearly lack the ability think about what they're saying because it's absolute tosh. If I have to explain that...

people perceptions are based on their own experiences. They can only go off the sample size they have, anything else would be an assumption.
Still if we want to go for generalizations, well i think there's certainly value in them. As an example, most Honda Jazz's are driven slowly and by older people for example. I doubt that's far from the truth.

Fair enough, but the majority who buy these kinds of cars does tend to be older people or mothers. But your observation is about a specific car, these other generalisations I refer to are about a marque that contains a broad variety of cars.
just like many s cars are bought by a certain type of person? perhaps.hmm well this took an odd turn... eric can you please f off and create your own thread about whatever it is your crapping on about.
your hatred of german marques is somewhat odd, but we are entitled to our opinions, although its somewhat off topic on a thread that was about s cars being driven ime in an 'distinctive' manner, possibly by angry people (one of whom will no doubt be along this evening to angrily argue their not angry and its all codswallop).
I think the thread has run its course, with it having gone a tad off topic.
lock it down luke, lock it down.

I overtook that Audi like I did because i spent the previous 20 minutes stuck behind idiots around watton under edge and I had things to do in Southampton so wanted to get home and avoid even more chronic traffic on the way (Fri pm), I never really cared what car was in the slip road tbh plus the slip road was empty on my lane so I just booted it and moved sharpish onto the outside lane of the M4 and carried on without drama until I seen that same A6 about 10 minutes shoulder to shoulder and it pulled infront of me...behind a van, if they were in such an urgency like a next of ken having a heart attack they would surely not stay behind a van.
Who is next of ken, did you give him some right foot action? Is he related to independent Lee?Edited by ericmcn on Wednesday 27th February 20:23
