Anyone got any previous experience or advice they could offer me. Engine in question is a 4 pot turbo - i know it will never sound good it just needs a bit more volume though as it is too quiet.

Currently got a branded system on which i could maybe sell second hand for 175/200.

another system will be about 600 including fitting so would cost me about 400.

Im hoping to maybe make the current system louder and not go through the hassle of trying to sell it.

Currenr system is 2.75 inch straight through from the standard cat to the backbox - backbox seems to supress a lot of noise as like i say its a pretty quiet system. Would removing the rear backbox be too loud even leaving the standard cat in place?

Or is it a viable option to keep all the pipework and swap out the backbox for a less baffled backbox?

My main concern is ending up with loads of resonance as it currently only has the backbox as the resonator. Would it make more to straight pipe the backbox and fit a resonator in the middle pipework?
