Ditched the stupid "doesn't quite get to the front of the car" bonnet adopted by the previous generation!

Why they did the stupid Merc led idea of having a short bonnet and then a slam panel above the grill i'll never know! Looked awkward because it's impossible to hide the panel gap between bonnet and panel, makes the bonnet look short and stunted, and ruins the "eyes under lids" effect that BMW bonnets and lights have managed so well for many years. So, thank F*** the new ones back to having a proper bonnet and no stupid slam panel....... !!

(what other styling "tweeks" annoy you??? (and no, you can't include "the entire Toyota C-HR" ;-) )

Luckily, if you actually like cars it drives better and is pretty decent inside.

bangle got st but seriously someone signed that grill off. When the french are designing better looking cars you know BMW are just going through motions as buyers don't care.

people will still flock to the 320d in droves however, no matter how %hit it looks
I’d say it looks less sh%t than the bland wagon you drive Eric. Also drives very well indeed.

Leepu special
This made me laugh and needed a bit more recognition, designed by Leepu of the Bangladeshi Motor Works.

That grill is so bad, shows that Audi didn't do a bad job with the big mouth on their cars.

Its hardly surprising you would say that but I think I would be inclined to go with the popular vote and agree its vulgar and also think this Subaru looks better from the front (and back) than a poxy BMW derv but maybe thats just me, its also faster you loser.

How are the sales going?

Sales are wonderful thanks. Between leases I may pick a chav chariot spec B for a grand to use.

Could be a bit of a culture shock though, do they have an FM radio?

The fact you make pathetic comments on every BMW thread tells it’s own story.

I had an F30 in SE spec for the day a few weeks ago and was horrified by how it drove. I wrote a full review, but haven't posted it because I know it'll be controversial. I do hope the new car drives better!
The new one with the M-Sport bits and bobs was quite impressive. Mind you, that’s stepping out of an Audi A4 biggrin

Just 'thank goodness' would have been enough for this posting title. Why the need to be vulgar & common?

BMW seem to have a knack for getting one of the suspension setups to work well and the other to be completely dire on each model; it seems pretty random which is which though. smile
Agree with that, the older M-Sport package which l tried just made things uncomfortable. People will always like to slate the new ‘anything’ BMW but it is a decent drive for a modern car. I also liked the new interior and dash layout. Size wise it looks to have grown but not so much. Good tool for the job.

And it annoys the hell out of the usual suspects, what’s not to like wink

I keep expecting the grille to open like a pair of gates and a Mini to drive out.

That is ridiculous. It is basically man spreading but on a car. Ready to dominate the highways.

Also - why call it a 3er? It's a 3-series.

Because i wanted a snappy clickbate title to what is actually a really boring thread about some minor panel changes on a mass produced passenger car........

The design of new BMWs was looking up but its drastically gone off the rails with the huge grilles and the dodgy side emblems, thankfully the dealer network had already done enough to put make me look else where.
That’s why I keep going back. Always had good experiences with them. Very odd.
