Had my current car for 4 years now. Used the same MOT centre every year without issue until this year when I thought I'd try someone closer to home; a halfords test centre within walking distance. Well it failed on the headlamp aims being too high, which seemed a bit iffy when it's never been an issue before. I then noticed they got my mileage completely wrong on the certificate, at the time I was on around 58,534. They put down 66,708... Wasn't a happy bunny but I took the car to my regular paid £40, they turned the headlamps down by a notch and passed it.

My slight niggle now is that whenever some does an MOT check on the car if I ever put it up for sale, there's going to be an inconsistency from it jumping up from 53k miles, to 66k, back down to 58k which could lose me buyers.

Cheers guys. Had the initial test on the 7th so 10 days is today. I'll call the DVSA anyhow.
