Seems to be largely Audi drivers of S-line S and RS flavours (and the debadged diesels that are just sporty lookalikes) and I dont quite follow their thinking - it is because they think they own some kind of show car and they have to have the front of the car looking cleaner than the rest of us? Sometimes you might see the front plate inside resting on the top of the dashboard. I dare say it stays there until the feds pull them up and they say "sorry officer it fell off earlier and I will stick it back on".

With some notable exceptions, the type of person that thinks they're special enough not to require a front number plate tends to fit a certain stereotype in my experience.

No I'm not. Although I wish front plates weren't necessary, as cars do for the most part look better without them.

No, I'm not daft so have no need to much about with registration plates.

Front plate on, but stuck, not drilled and always on a manufacturers plate holder where possible.

There's a difference to looking after your car and looking like a pillock.

Nope...

But cars do look much better without them, like in the USA when not required. Cars aren’t designed with front number plates in mind.

If I had an Alfa I’d be sorely tempted to remove as they look awful to the side.

Nope. But I don't care if other people are. Difference does it make to me? As commented above cars look nicer without them anyway.

I think I travel a fair amount of miles during the weeks and I must admit I have never seen one.

I suppose it could be area dependant.

1st thing the average chav does when he buys a car. I think it's great as it's perfect for spotting the tts and giving them a wide birth.

I love the bonnet protectors? As well, especially when on a rusty old corsa..

Not for me as I like to be legal but I admit some vehicles look better without them.

What difference does it make?

Are you aware of the purpose of number plates?

Can't say I've seen one in years, I thought that removing your front number plate died out with Max Power magazine?

Police should be issued self tappers and a drill to refit numberplates that have ‘fallen off’

I am not one but if it wasnt a legal requirement I would be, think it can look better, cleaner on some cars, especially some of the modern stuff that dont really have a plate recess.
