Seems to be largely Audi drivers of S-line S and RS flavours (and the debadged diesels that are just sporty lookalikes) and I dont quite follow their thinking - it is because they think they own some kind of show car and they have to have the front of the car looking cleaner than the rest of us? Sometimes you might see the front plate inside resting on the top of the dashboard. I dare say it stays there until the feds pull them up and they say "sorry officer it fell off earlier and I will stick it back on".

Pretty much every super car ever made looks better without. Also alot of cars are not designed with it in mind which is why alot of the time it looks tacked on.
In other words, super car designers are either lazy or incompetent or both.
Thats very true............. but as you say thats "supercars" not the sort of audi-doody every joey and his brother seems to be renting in all the major uk cities these days with a badge on it that contains an S or an R. Presumably they always walk away from or to up their cars from the front so they can admire their handywork and remind themselves of the image their trying to give others on the road ....you gotta laugh. Its only a number plate.
