So the new Defender is officially here. With due respect to the Porsche Taycan, it's the biggest debut of the 2019 Frankfurt show and - to Land Rover at any rate - one of the most important model introductions to occur this decade.

Consequently, the manufacturer has had plenty of time to warm to the task, and last month it invited PH along to get to grips with the new car in person. We sent Dan P to Eastnor Castle - this is what he saw...

There are very thin lines between each models positioning. I guess the discovery is supposed to be a bit more luxury but where does that leave the Velar?
