I’ve got a car I’m going to be trying to sell soon, it has an approximate value of £60k. What is the price limit that you can reasonably expect to sell a car at given I obviously won’t be offering finance? I assume my only route is going to be selling to trade or on SOR but just wanted to confirm.

I'd wager that when you see cars going for millions at auction, they aren't going on a PCP agreement or lease...

£60k, someone will either have the money to spend (blah blah opportunity cost /ph ) or they will have sorted a loan to buy it. Either way you'll get the money by transfer (unless you favour carrier bags of used notes...). No different to a £6k or £600k car really.

What is it, out of interest?
ETA if it's the Huracan... I'll give you £60k biglaugh

Haha, no it’s not the Huracan it’s the Cayenne that is going to be making way soon.

I guess I’ll try a private sale first, I just assumed the market for people buying a car privately at this cost would be small but it’s worth a go.

I sold my Porsche for 62k privately and plenty of interest. The market is naturally smaller but a heck of a lot better than selling at low trade prices.
That’s very good to hear, I was devastated at the idea of selling at trade prices.
