Slightly stting myself now. Sold my car to them on Saturday and paid for next day payment which they said will go through today by 6pm and I haven't received anything.

I used them as I really couldn't be arsed with the hassle selling privately and need the money to buy a new works vehicle asap.

I've just read a review on trustpilot posted today someone saying they paid for next day payment and 10 days has past with no payment so I'm fking worried now.

I can't find a phone number for a head office, just the local branch which I'll phone first thing in the morning.

Anyone else had this experience? Waiting payment for 10.5k!

If payment is next working day, then you should get your money tomorrow.
I hope so! Paperwork says payment will be made today by 6pm though.

I'm sure I'm worrying over nothing but desperately need it as I can't pick up a works vehicle I put a deposit on so unable to be out earning money.

Yes paid £25 for next day payment which they failed to deliver. Just waiting for them to get back to me now.

I was told next day payment will be Monday as it was Saturday I sold the car.

Spoke to the local branch who wasn't too helpful and as far as I can work out they haven't bothered sending the required documents to head office hence no payment rolleyes

Finally received a reply from the head office:

Hi, thank you for getting in touch. After investigating the matter further I can confirm that following the sale of a vehicle several post-sale checks are conducted to satisfy security and compliance requirements. It is standard practice for our purchasers to take an image of the engraved VIN at the point of sale as one of the post-sale checks is to verify the engraved VIN against the information displayed on the V5/HPI. Unfortunately on this occasion the we do not appear to have a photograph of the VIN/Chassis stamp on record. This prevented us from completing the verification checks and resulted in the payment going on hold. We sincerely apologise for the upset and inconvenience this delay has caused but I can assure you that action is currently being taken to obtain a clear photo of the VIN/Chassis stamp from the holding site. Please be assured that our checks will be completed and the funds will be released as soon as we are in receipt of this. Thank you for your co-operation during this time.

Not helpful I know but I don't know why anyone uses these clowns. The Internet is full of bad stuff about them.

Advertised my car on eBay with every single defect listed, sold within 3 days and for £900 more than WBAC quoted but I'm sure that quote would have been heavily knocked down if I had of taken the car to them. The buyer transferred the money to me with BACS on the day and it was instantly in my account.
Agree and now wish I didn't bother. I'm only using them as I need a replacement works vehicle asap and they wouldn't part exchange my car against a commercial vehicle as with most dealers I dealt with. Found the perfect van at a good price so paid the deposit there n then thinking WBAC would give me part exchange value - which they almost did.

Used them years ago and didn't have a problem but wouldn't touch them again for certain.

Overall it is a bit of a scam really - entice you in with a good online valuation only to knock off hundreds after spotting the lightest of scratches "It'll need to go to a body shop bks"

^ That's the better way of doing it, money in your account before the car goes.

I've got no car and no money in account. Ages to reply to msgs on facebook, no phone number to their head office and to top it off they've closed the online chat midway through me asking questions.

How long does it take to fking take a photo of the chassis number and email it to head office and press a few buttons to clear the funds?

This is turning into an epic fkUP.

Manager from the local branch emailed me and said admin are requesting a photo of the chassis number and won't release funds until they receive that. All well and good but the car has already left their branch to fk knows where so fk knows how long this will take.

If no update by mid tomorrow I'm off to the branch in person which might get interesting as I can't be dealing with this st right now.

Thanks for everyone's help with this.

Threatening to report the vehicle stolen to police and taking to twitter and facebook sorted them out and payment has been received.

Never again lol

I've found my car on their BCA site and is due to be auctioned on Saturday so will be interesting to see how much they make!

17 plate mazda 3 sport nav - they paid me just under 10.5k.

Did you get your £25 back?
Nope but I did complain and they said it'll be refunded in the next week or so.
