But I've got to be pretty close. What a beauty...

To the doubters...

Hand on heart I parked in that space. Took some shuffling and maybe a very little amount of dry steering, but not lock to lock, just a little at the start of the best small fwd and backward movement. I didn't hit either of the cars

:Hehe: I know I'm not perfectly close to the pavement but I wasn't about to have another go!

The people saying I've screwed the others, the car behind me is the last car before yellow lines, the car in front had over a meter is space in front of it so all good!

To be honest, I'd be pretty annoyed if someone parked that close to my car, because I'd expect that my bumper would've been hit multiple times during the manouevre.

I certainly wouldn't park my own car like that, because you never know the abilities of the people in the adjacent cars. There may be a metre gap in front of the adjacent car when you park, but if the vehicle in front of them moves and is replaced, they may be left without enough room to get out without hitting your car.
But I didn't him either car so all good

And they both had tons of space so all good!

I really don't understand how that is possible, maybe the photo makes it look closer than it is, but looks to me like you've got maybe 3" of clearance at the back and none at the front, unless the bumpers curve in to such and extent that at no point measuring the car diagonally does it get more than 3" longer than it could simply not have rotated in the space.
The front bumper looks not far off being a semi circle so perhaps could, but the back i'm not so sure about
Tbh I think your assessment is about right. I was surprised hoe tight it was with I got out! I think I just mailed the first movement, then shuffled a few times to get in.

Not a chance, unless you had a small crane.
I'm just taking this as a compliment haha

Pretty poor effort, you haven't even parked centrally between the two cars tongue out

How many backward and forward movements did that take, and did you have enough time left on your parking ticket to go anywhere?
I was closer to the mini, but I couldn't get my bag out the boot. Moved it forward so I could, but I still couldn't get the boot open! Had to drag it out with the boot. Adjar!

The reason I parked here and not the other side of the road where there was loads of space was this is unrestricted free parking.

I reckon it might have been 7 to 10 shuffles hehe

Extra points for doing that in an fwd car! Does a polo have an unusual good max steering angle to get the front swinging in? Did you have someone guiding you, if not was there any contact (even just a touch)?
It's a golf, and I don't think it's anything other than normal steering angle.

No one guiding me, and I didn't feel any touches. If I did it was so soft I didn't notice.

Call me miserable, but that’s pretty anti-social and wkerish, unless the cars either side had completely unobstructed exits. If the other cars have also been left small gaps there is no way your average driver would be able to exit.

Skilful, perhaps. But a real ’s trick and potentially fully deserving of some criminal damage on your own motor there.

And you only have to have the smallest and slightest contact with another car’s bumper to leave marks in the clear coat, so even though you didn’t feel any contact there’s the possibility that you did and you’ve needlessly damaged someone else’s property.
Quoted for the sheer ridiculousness of this post!

If you'd read the whole thing you'd have seen I've posted a bunch of times that both cars has loads of space.

Deserving or criminal damage? Really! Ffs.

I didn't feel a touch. And your comment about touches damaging clear coat, that means every parking attempt could then if you don't feel it. Just a ridiculous comment

Good old PH positivity on this thread as ever hehe
I park on that very same road every day and it's nice to see some decent parking instead of the usual idiots who park at 90 degrees to the kerb and block the pavement.
I knew you were around Leeds Uni a bit - what do you drive? Most have seen you posted up before, I'm there all the time. I'm the powerlifting coach at the university
