Admiral Insurance Payout

Morning All,
I had lent a family member a car And added them to my multi car policy in their name but I’m still admin for that policy Also have authority and responsible for all financials.whilst they were driving it they was hit and the car was written off. We agreed a settlement, now the family member has diverted the payout to their bank account and done a bunk Abroad with the money.I am the registered keeper .The car had a small amount of finance on it In my name which was Settled. I have complained to admiral through Complaints but doubt I’ll here for a week or so.Is there anything I can do or is it tough luck for trusting this person. Any advice other than don’t lend cars out very much appreciated.

The policy was in my step daughters name i have an Admiral multi car and added her to it on one of my vehicles with me as administrator/ approved access , sadly the email we’re going from my account but she had agreed to make sure the bank details given were mine but instead gave hers and done the off

Thankfully my wife is with me it’s just under 6k , just found out she had removed me just before changing the outgoing bank account so they can’t discuss anything with me, st position to be in and value is irrelevant . Looks like another expensive lesson in life

I have an Admiral insurance policy where cars and homes are under 1 address and I am responsible financially for all payments as administrator . My step daughter had her own policy under this multi policy and I have authority to speak with Admiral on all policies whether mine or not. She has removed me as a person with Authority and requested Admiral pay the settlement into her account. A complaint has been raised but I probably will not here for a few days. The payment was sent Thursday so I was trying to block this yesterday which I can’t as my authority has been removed and admiral will not discuss with me.She had previously lived in Spain so has probably bolted there .i am the registered keeper, owner.

Sorry to be cynical but was this a genuine accident and a opportunistic theft or a crash for cash “accident” ie planned ?

This had crossed our minds but I was returning from work and was at the crash scene very quickly and there are things that happened that couldn’t of been planned, but again the other party’s car was stolen , on false plates , Anything that could go wrong with this event pretty much has.
