I wonder how many posts it will take to get to 'I had no choice, other than to take the Zonda'.

My Aston Vantage was pretty inappropriate for home visits as a GP for two years. I'm far more sensible these days!
Taking an early lead there.

I don’t get why a 911 is inappropriate? It’s just a red 911, there were countless of them where I used to work from 912 - 991 in the visitor spaces and the car park.

I turned up in a Camaro SS once, bright red.

A 1993 lowered / modified MK1 MX5 as there was an issue with my hire car, I was leading an assessment so it didn’t look great, saying that nor did my ancient Alfa 166.

I got a few nice comments when I had to go in my Vantage to one site.
Do you not? Well, context is everything. If it hadn't been a fellow ph'er, it woud have drawn a few tut-tut's rather than some 'bants'. It's by no means exotic - it's merely a red 911, but stuck out a bit!

My job is to help clients design the electrical hardware on some of the most advanced EV/Hybrid race cars

I turn up in my rust holed old Toyota 4x4 that doesn't even have an electric fuel pump or even an ECU biggrin

Not sure what they think as I not had any comments but the irony isn't lost on me!

Only one customer of mine has seen this car, purely because I know he "gets it".
I keep it secret from ALL my other customers, employees have been warned not to mention my cars to customers as well.
All through bitter experience of green eyed monsters in some of our household names I now keep my garage firmly under wraps frown
It seems there are a few of that type lurking in this thread frown
This is one area we can learn from the US, celebrate hard work and the achievements because it!
Don't put it down out of jealousy. thumbup

I now to site visits is a very dirty, tuned but debadged Merc C43AMG estate wink

bow

A former boss bought a P1. His instruction not to mention it to the main client then was a mixture of command and blind panic!
