Hello, first post so go easy......I am looking for advice on setting eyes on a Ferrari F40, I am in Scotland, near the borders and will Travel anywhere in the UK for a guaranteed visual, soppy backstory is my boyfriend has been a legend this last year and he is car crazy, and his sport is driving. This is his favourite car, his poster car as a child and he has never set eyes on one.....I know people do driving days but I dont know if anyone knew where would have this specific car for one.....I am not as crazy a car person as him so i will try not to seem thick as mince with the replies but any help what so ever, i would be eternally. If you can think of anything at all, please message me, this would be making my dreams come true for him..... Thanks in advance !!!!
Thank you for all your help guys....my partner actually travels down near Bristol for work quite alot so I might just tell him about the showroom...... I will definitely be looking into some of these events though and Jamie at the borders, I emailed you. Really really appreciate all your ideas and help....
Sorry about the late reply, the website wanted to make sure I wasn't spaming.

For him to get inside one would just blow his mind. Could you imagine..... I sent an enquiry form into Macari in his name asking about the car....so he should get that today, I dont think he will believe it much and I will tell him about the showroom tonight. I had a look at knockhill as he goes up regularly (pre covid) to race but me being a girl, I have only been with my dad a handful of times to watch the super bikes and I dont know what event I should buy tickets for ? I suppose calling knockhill and asking dome questions wouldn't hurt either....... you have given me loads of ideas. Thank you so much.
Unfortunately, he doesn't want to take the shop up on their offer of showing him the car because he obviously can't afford to buy it and doesn't want to look like a lying fool. what can I say, he's mad but he has a good conscience........I would have probably jumped at the chance if it was my dream car. Thanks for all your help guys. I think he works 3/4hours from the showroom so he might drive in on an evening and see if he can see it through the window.
Have a great day !!!!!
Thanks again.

That last photo 😆😆😆😆😆
I totally agree with you all, you never expect to go to a garage and be talked into any expensive car but finance is everywhere these days so half the country are driving cars that they can't really afford initially, F40s are a bit more obvious and I said its car crazy people doing that job so just be honest about it......or say nothing at all, never judge anyone on how much or little money they have or have not got.
I will just need to start saving now......haaaaa ! When I own one you can all come see it as much as yois want. Quite a lot of childhood stories related to cars here.....cute!!!

Well I showed him your comments and I think he's going to give them a message and be honest stating he can't obviously afford to buy it but could he come in and look over it. I am really loving all the pictures and stories....... i am 7 months due with my son and I hope he has the same stories with his dad and about cars....... and maybe even by the time he goes to these events I might know more that what an engine size means on a car 😆 🤣 😂

It’s a very long way but you mentioned he travels to Bristol... there is often one at a cars and coffee event called re:fuel that’s held once a month (pre pandemic) at Dunkeswell airfield in Devon. Couldn’t guarantee that it would be there though.
Thanks for that, sounds like a good thing to look out for.He showed me this poster when he was younger he had on his wall of the car and a toy one on top.....
These cars all look like fancy toys to me !!!
