It seems that the prices of what many PistonHeads would refer to as a "toy" or "weekend" car have increased over the last 12 months. The theory on many of the groups that I lurk around on is that this is possibly due to a lot of folk accumulating funds from not going holidays, socialising, commuting etc.

Are you one of these people? had you treated yourself to something for a bit of fun?

No but I sold my Boxster S for exactly this reason. I think the prices will drop accordingly in the next 12 months. So I cashed out.....
This time last year I expected the prices of used luxury items to tank along with the housing market. I was obviously completely wrong. I'm now wondering if all these people that bought things like Boxsters or camper vans will really rush to sell them for a loss in the next 12 months if they don't really need to release the money.

You think that - that may change.

I’m already seeing plenty of clients back to 65% occupancy levels already with phased step ups throughout the year
Interesting. What industry/s?

Possibly worth a completely different thread on the subject but I can't imagine we will get anywhere near the same number of people commuting for work in the near or distant future.
