Morning,

I cant post in SPL yet......

Can you use a mobile when the engine is off ?

The law relates to proper control of the car, if the engine is off and handbrake applied would that count, or is there still an angle where you could fall foul ?

Thanks

Quite simply you should not be texting whilst driving in any circumstance. How can you be concentrating on the road when you are staring at your phone?
My girlfriend has a 70 plate golf, nice looking car great seats but ….

The controls are built into a touch screen display, absolutely horrendous thing. To change the radio or turn the heating fan up or adjust where it is blowing involves taking your eyes off the road and tapping the screen a couple of times.

With a large knob or dial I could reach for it and turn it without taking my eyes off the road.
