Haven't been on here for the last...... ~10 odd years. Motoring sort of went on hiatus.

Just thought, before I'm forced to buy something electric forever, I'd scratch the V8 itch.

It just never occurred to me I might have left it so long nothing really exists any more. I feel like someone's dad who talks about 'the good old days' but, 'back in my day' you could find a plethora of 'fun' cars for sub £3k.

Did I really sit in my arm chair and wait too long?!!

was sort of hoping someone would call me a numpty and point me in a direction I hadn't thought of. well, for bargain money.

I so flippantly turned down multiple cars in the (10 years ago) past, v8 barges, pony power etc.

massive facepalm that the period may be over. not quite sure how that passed by!

ooph. yeah so, kinda as expected. I had an RTA back in 2005 and netter £30k for body crippling expenses for some numpty pulling out in a junction.

Back then, could have had a quality NSX for £20k, S2000 for ~£5

Bought a ratty E36 M3 for £3.5k, spent that making it mechanically mint, then, relationship/commuting issues had to immediately sell.

So sad to see I might have just let the golden V8 years just pass by and sleep walk through it without realising!
