OK let me start by saying I'm quite a relaxed person, so these issues don't have me flayling my arms around like a lunatic or climbing out the car with an angry face but they do make my teeth itch a little.

Aside from the standard MLM's, 40mph club, tailgaters etc what other little driving irritations do we share? One which has recently started to wind me up is when people kindly let you in / out of a side street by simply pulling to a halt and waiting. What is wrong with the little light flash that we all recognise as a sign for 'off you go sir'? I find that people actually acting in a kind way is beginning to wind me up. I don't know why you're stopping, are you breaking down? Is there a cat in the road? Just flash your lights FFS!

Another is one which I have noticed since changing my car to an S5. Nice A road, come across a car doing 40mph, overtake. Suddenly said car is triggered into thinking I am trying to race and charges up behind proving he can match my pace. No, I just wanted to do 60 and you were 20mph under this so I went past you. Don't change your driving just 'as you were!'.

Phantom braking - i.e. braking for no readily apparent reason. I say this because I had to follow my father-in-law for 20 miles or so yesterday. On a straight, wide, well-sighted bit of A-road road with virtually no traffic, no junctions, no rain, no nothing, and with him at no point exceeding the speed limit, he'd brake a couple of times every minute for no reason at all. Not always a little dab either, often enough that I - having learnt to leave a very big gap to cater for this strange behaviour - had to brake too. When I'm a passenger with him after a few miles I'm virtually chewing the interior fittings with frustration - it's just so weird.
My dad does the exact same thing, really puts you on edge as a passenger it has to be said!!
Yes, this is another one actually (as are most that have pointed out above!) It makes for a very anxious journey following someone like this! I tend to always jump in the drivers seat whenever I go anywhere really I'm not a good passenger.

I get the right of way thing but it annoys me when people turn right, across the front of me, when I am waiting to turn right out of a side road. Would it be too much trouble to let me out then turn in?
Also, people who park facing on coming traffic, then have to block both lanes when they pull out.
Yes, this is one too! If people actually thought a bit more about traffic flow a lot of congestion could be avoided. It's all about "my right of way" for a lot of people. I'll normally pull out anyway if it's safe to, but then there's the ones that indicate at the last minute or not at all for extra bellend points rolleyes

Night time traffic queues when the driver in front insists on sitting on their foot brake causing me intense retinal burning thanks to high level brake lights. Use your hand brake ffs! mad
No it doesn't you drama queen. Anyway, speaking of 'intense retinal burning' and night time driving, people who don't dip their headlights after you've overtaken them and leave the main beams. Do you think you're teaching me a lesson by trying to blind me, or was my completely foolish and reckless overtake done too quickly for you to operate the horn in time?

Oh, and rear fog lights on when it's not foggy.
I absolutely hate that! Stuck behind some lemon for miles, you finally get the chance to overtake and they then fill your car with main beam juice until you've pulled away enough. Why do slow drivers expect everyone to drive as poorly as them!
