Middle Lane Drivers, Do they Ever Notice?

Drove from the North East to Essex and back yesterday. Left home at 6am returned around 8.30pm. A19 to the A1, 2 lanes on the A19 so none spotted, 3 lane stretch on the A1 hundreds counted all the way to the M11, as it gets to 3 or 4 lanes near Stansted they're back in droves! M25 to Essex still there!

Return journey much the same, drivers completely oblivious of an empty inside lane, just happily sitting in the middle at 50-60 mph. One near Peterborough even leaning his head on his hand nearest the drivers window.

So frustrating, I'd happily love the camera network to send automatic fines of cars just sitting there causing other drivers to overtake or worse undertake!!
