Followed a G-wagon recently and it got me thinking this might be one of the most tasteless cars on sale.

Anyone have any views on this, or candidates for the title.

In x years, will we be saying that BMW got the styling spot on, much like some approval of Bangle BMWs?

Dreadful aren’t they! But I’d just add any of their SUVs to the tasteless list; all horrible looking things.

I wouldn’t want to be seen in a Lamborghini, even though I do like them!

Not sure if it's tasteless or simply looks hideous.

I still think the Bangle 5's were ugly.

Yeah, some, but not much.

I ran a Bangle 5 Series as a company car. Nice car to drive and a nice car to be in but was never a nice car to look at.

These are the "Bowler Hat Cars". Styled like a bowler hat, much like the BMW X6 and Mercedes GLC/E, and they seemed to be loved by mid 40's people with a few extra pounds to transport around. They remind me not of cars, but thrones to transport their owners vast buttocks around. biggrin

I’d argue the opposite and say the defender is the best - internally and externally - looking 4x4 on sale today.

The Cullinan gets my vote for most tasteless, closely followed by the Urus.

Jeez, that is indeed awful - looks like a Chinese 'interpretation' of a Mercedes

Having passed an iX on the way to work I thoroughly agree - normally I'm pretty much live and let live, but what the f**k

Audi SQ5.

It's an SUV, no it's not it's a sporting SUV.
That doesn't handle well, doesn't do comfort well unless you spec it with a £7k upgrade to model with air suspension, isn't that quick, doesn't make a nice noise ( as it's diesel) and costs a fortune. It's bloody enormous but not much space in rear due to sloping roof. And is not sporty to drive.
It's a marketing person's wet dream of a car.

It's vehicles like this that give ICE cars a bad name.

See also Audi SQ8.

You've given reasons why you don't like it, but haven't explained how it's tasteless. I suspect because it isn't - and yet, the thread title...

I'd also suggest it very likely that he hasn't driven one because if he had, he wouldn't be writing this drivel!

Just so we know what we're talking about...

Nothing to get too upset about there, IMO.
