My engine is dead so I am putting a bare engine in.

I have found one on here and paid a deposit but after doing so I have read nothing but bad reviews.

I have called them as I have not received an emailed receipt and all they say is they can't speak to you as it's a new enquiries line only.

I am slightly concerned now.....

PayPal have said I have buyers protection which is good.

I’ll see what they come back with.

I’ve bought an engine from Silverlake Motorsalvage.

Great price, low mileage with warranty. So can’t complain.

EnginesOD stands for engines on demand . They have all options weve required (30 engines or so) with safe payment options unlike some out there
At this moment in time Jimmy Saville would appear to be a more trust worthy baby sitter than you lot.

Anyway I'm all sorted.

The idiot at EnginesOD who sent me an email saying "We have sold the engine you bought" and proceeded to ignore my refund request helped me massively.

I received the money back 2 days ago via paypal.

If anyone is looking for an engine I bought one from Silverlake Autos - It arrived today - Hopefully it's all good when we fit it but happy days so far.

Good end result.

It was supposed to be fully reconditioned.

New big ends etc etc - The photo was of a fresh looking bare engine.

It's a bizarre process.

You make an offer online and they accept.

You pay £297 deposit
You then supply photo ID
The garage who has the engine then contacts you to arrange everything.

My process was bizarre - I called them and they answered straight away - All sounded good. Once I paid the deposit when I called I was told they couldn't speak to me that it was new enquiries only haha. I asked to speak to managers or anyone but all they kept saying was send an email.

The emails I received were in broken english and very rude.

Such a horrific company, I am just glad I got my refund.

Salvage rebuilds UK have featured their site several times on their channel and it all looks very impressive.

I was really impressed with them.

They gave a good discount aswell (they're comms based) they're communication has been great - The engine I have bought the sump got damaged on removal of the engine - They let me know and gave me discount accordingly.

Engine turned up today all palleted correctly with the information from the vehicle it was taken from so very happpy.

As long as it runs. haha.
