What is this? And why did it cost £103k in 1992....

And just to make it easy, here's a rear view:

Feel free to add some more obscure motors...

Is it an 'aa1b' ?!

Good one, checking the picture properties. I tried that as well...

Good job I renamed to photos then... hehe

A couple of hints:

It was a production vehicle, not a prototype.

Also, £103k was the starting price, you could spec it to cost substantially more.

There appears to be no rear seats. I'm gonna guess it's some sports car with custom coachwork, but what I have no idea.

It is a six seater.

It has a V8.

A little further research has suggested that this was initially a concept - but a limited number were produced and sold. One is for sale on the 'net right now.

It does a bit from that angle - so here are a couple more views of it (where it doesn't).

Duct over the rear wheel reminds me a little of the 550/575M

What else does that rear remind you of?

Uh huh.... GM Chronos maybe?!?

Well done!

I'll give you that. It is the Pininfarina Chronos - based upon the Lotus Carlton would you believe, so with a 3.6 litre Lotus developed twin turbo. Which should make it capable of 190mph or more (176mph in the Carlton).

Early 1990's.

I think the design cues for the 406 Coupe are there too.
