"Another International! Racing/The Ring/Spa!
Like most of our best Internationals, this one surfaced in the Pistenclaus bar at the Nurburgring. Whilst on the recent Cerburgring Tour, many expressed an interest to get back there as soon as possible, and with Phil (BossCerbera) James racing at Spa in October it seemed a good time to make some phone calls.

So basically it’s this:

Sat 6th Travel to Spa – watch historics races.

Sun 7th Watch some more racing – Phil racing in his 700bhp Cobra

Monday 8th – Over to Ring for Public Trackday.

Tues 9th – Back to Spa for Trackday. LIMITED SLOTS!!!"

That's the TVRMonster-offer . . .

As whispered a few months back some liked the idea to check out the next Spa 6Hrs. Not only did my Spablog tick boxes also a handfull of crazy Spa-racing Dutchies liked the idea as well.

We'll start with a list and get things sorted in the forthcoming months. Let's make this a good one!

Coming from The Netherlands, saturday early morning, meetingpoint x, xx:xx hrs
1. Dinkel - Pug 307
2.

Coming from The UK, saturday early morning, meetingpoint Calais, xx:xx hrs
1.

Keithyboy if you want to join the UK-convoy and organise things with 'em I'm not stopping you to join the gang and sign up here

Pretty full mailbox with splendid response BTW.

One for the good spirit:

Fact 1: La Source will look slightly different in October.

Phil: can you put down the name of the hotels / guesthouses you used last time? I can make an arrangement for a group and save some cash better spend on beers and stuff.

Fact 2: We need a restaurant that serves food quickish! Damn did we almost miss the 6 Hrs finale . . .

Good to see this one still alive.

I saw this SpaF topic on Belgium telly last week - I was hiding in the Ardennens - and La Source looks good, as do the new fascilities.

Also I think It'd be a good one to think about a (few) day(s) hooning about in the SpaF neighbourhood . . . I found some glorious roads. I managed to stay within the speed limits with the car in full family-loadup.

Getting my youngest an ice-cream - somewhere far far away wink - almost made mph out of the kmh odo. Now THAT should appeal . . . in a proper car that is. Coming up soon . . .

. . . but time to tell the full story over a few malt whiskies at Spa. G

We must think of a good place to hide all of us there. I've a contact that can make a deal for about 20. Last week's little Ardennes holiday gave me the thought it isn't particulary wrong to be a few miles from SpaF driving Really enjoyed the roads . . . Graeme they do have decent beers in Belgium biggrin

All the best with the recovering . . .

Booking a hotel near SpaF

OK guys, I've booked - via internet / confirmed by mail - for sat on sun at this place:

www.lamaisondessenteurs.be

If you want you can do the same.

A nice Francorchamps B&B, 2 kms from da track:
50 Eu for 2 a room;
65 Eu for 3 a room and
80 Eu for 4 a room.

That's per room folks!

I've asked the owner to keep 'these places on this date' on reservation for a week, starting from today. No problem to sleep with any of your PH-mates I suppose, so everyone can book individual. You'll pay as you leave.

I will follow the pack sunday afternoon to the Ring, eat too fat and drink too much and stay overnight in Germany. Next it's Ringtime! I can hold a vidcam wink

Accomodation for the Ring will follow soon I suppose, or do we book at the spot?

Cheers, Dink.

ETA: http://www.petitbonheur.be/en/index.php

Four miles from Malmedy, 38 Eu a room, 4 rooms a 2 p.

In case d'Essenteurs is full.

Germany, book the famous Ring-hotel here:

Enjoy this, before MY topic gets downhill by this UK hooli's. Now that's arT with a capital, errr, T in this case.

I'm glad we don't stay in the same hotel Sinc! Bah, and I thought you were a classy guy wink

Are you bringing the Cerb? If so we could do a nights run after the 6 hrs . . . Blast around the area before the goodnight's drink.

I'd some contact with a handfull of the teams, we could do a tour. Tent to tent, get a bit of explaining about the cars . . . Damn bugger is we'll miss some of the races . . .

I throw in a pic for a change:

The luverly thing 'bout Spa is strolling the paddocks. All those guys (mostly) working their machinerie, and it's easy to chat with 'em and talk - in this case - Escort, about the race and stuff.
