Hi, I know we all have ambitions to own the cars of our dreams, but if you did get that dream car where would you keep it? I am just completing my new garage which still needs to be fitted out and should be cool when its finished. My ultimate garage will come with the new house I hope to build in a couple of years which will have 6 bays and complete workshop facilities. But lets see the garages of the PistonHead Members. Cmon guys make me jealous.

Here are a couple of examples to get you started.

i visited a PH viper friend a few weeks ago new pad, with the most awesome garage ive ever been in, parking inside the garage for x10 big cars on fancy ceramic tiles, themed stuff all about with a huge sofa, hifi, lcd, racking etc and attached shower and loo but still a working environment with all the kit you could ever need to work on a car.

With further undercover parking for another 16 cars and loads of space outside parking for god know how many vehicles, makes you sick wink
i would post pics but its not my garage
Get permission now, I want to see it.

Here's mine. It won't win any prizes and is still full of crap from when we moved in but I am hoping to tidy it up before the end of the summer.biglaugh

My mini hydraulic ramp.
With a car like that your garage should be a shrine. I can see it now, chequer board floors, white walls, racings pics on the walls and an old 40's or 50's petrol pump in the corner.

There's a lady with a lambo who has an amazing garage, I'm sure someone will know who i'm talking about as her username escapes me at the moment.
Just been pointed to this thread. Think that may be me wink Its nothing on some of the garages here though!!!

Getting ready for a detail:

Mid detail:

A clean garage:

Now this is what I was talking about when i started this tread, well done Funky. Can I ask, I see you have a polisher on the floor, do you do that yourself or get someone in?
What I love to see are garages that are as clean as yours but are also working garages, not just show rooms.

Here's ours,

When being built.

The finished one has 3 bays and then room in the bend for another with space to work on.

The half done one will take one large car or two small ones.
Nice.... It must be great to be able to create your own space, I cant wait to start building mine.

Funky I love your garage alot!!! Sadly the marble in our house has only reached the door entrance, table tops etc and not the garage. Definately something to strive for.
This garage is a working one with the usual slops of oil everywhere, tools not put away but carpet by the beer fridge. and plenty of space to walk around the cars.

Kylie, I love the contrast in your garage as it reflects exactly what my future garage will be like, Hotrods under construction on one side and sports cars on the others. Well done

I've recently painted it a cream colour, since the pic below, so it doesn't look so agricultural, but more like a large slice of cheese. biggrin

I just love working Hotrod garages....

Cmon guys, it appears that Funky has the most Pimped out garage on this site, can anyone do any better?
By the way Funky, is there a Mr Funky as your garage looks almost too good to have had any male influence?

Thanks all, it's not finished yet as it needs all the photos/memorabilia/helmets/mirrors/tv hung on the wall on the opposite side! But then again when is anything really finished :P It didn't take all that much time actually and it was done for the diablo because the other garage was a bit too thin and this garage was only used as storage space. I'll show a before and after pictures. All that was done was it was cleaned up, painted white and tiles layed. Tiles were used as we had to level the concrete anyway and it wasn't much more to add tiles after levelling and we needed some kind of covering. It's not perfect for working on the car but it can be worked on in other areas anyway. I have a handy floor washer/polisher that only takes about 30 mins to go over the whole floor once its dirty. I think thats all the questions covered wink

Streetrod ~ No male influence, only female wink

noneedtolife ~ Thats an excellent space! What a shame they want it back frown
Amazing what a lick of pint will do Funky and I love the tiles. I would love to have them in my garage but as I do a lot of work in mine the prospects of droping something heavy and hard are too high to risk.
When I build my new place I will look to use them in the car storage area but not the workshop.

Also great to hear you did it for yourself, we need more women like you. Please post some more pics when it is finished.

tbops are you still planning on the glass divide between the lounge and garage? Will look fantastic.

Damn!, I had the same idea for my new house, but I was going to use that glass that in its normal state is clear but once you run a current through it it goes translucent

Yeah, theres a 6 car garage with a clear devide in to the gym or cinema room. It will be awsome, its got its own rotation table and maybe even reg recognition to open the door and lower the cars in to the basement.
OHHH, I like the sound of the rotation table, I am hoping my new build will incorporate some neat tricks in the garage. The the great a thing about building your own house, its a lot cheaper to do something cool than buy something cool.
