I was going through Hampstead the other day and hit a pothole roughly the size of a decent comet crater which cheerfully removed most of the zorst from my jag. The pipe is sheered pretty much at the point where it hits the manifold so in effect I have no zorst at all. I need to get the car up to a dealer about 6 miles away. It sounds terrible of course and has no power but is it safe to drive it about 6 or 7 miles or would it be better just to recover the car?

Cheers

PL

Kind of assumed that was the case but wanted to make sure. In which case may I suggest that anyone in North London tomorrow may wish to buy ear defenders and if you spot a jag making enough noise to cause a decent sized earthquake, please feel free to wave and say hi!

Is there some way you can claim the damage back from Camden council? Must have been a bloody huge pothole to do that sort of damage, I thought the roads were bad here in Ealing...
Working on it. So far the council was supposed to send me a claim form, but nothing yet. Will be my thrid claim against councils in four years. Would just be cheaper for them to look after the sodding roads I would think.
