£££ Insurance vs Windscreen £££

£75 insurance excess for windscreen replacement via Adrian Flux...cool...no problem then, just book in AutoGlass to pop by and put a new 'un in, show them the Insurnace Certificate and hand over £75... job done right?

Wrong..

The Insurer I was with via Adrian Flux didn't reconise AutoGlass as a recognised supplier...so the excess rose to £100...it was in the small print apparently... oh and sorry but you'll have to pay the full cost of the windscreen and claim the dfference between that and the new excess back from the insurer...

£757.... £757....

and now I have to wait...to get £657 back...

anyone have this happen to them? I mean hands up I dind't read small print... but AutoGlass FFS...not recognised ??

hmmm well ready? here we go....A Vauxhall Signum! woohoo!...hmm

To be fair, this is the 3rd windscreen I have had put in the past 14 months or so...and each time I've booked in AutoGlass, this time however was after the time I'd renewed the insurance... arse.
