I went to see a car, nice motor, 1995 Mercedes SL320, its got a digital odometer.

Is it possible to 'clock' these to show less miles? Or can the digital odometer be trusted?

Any and every car can be clocked mate. Does it have full service history/ old MOT's to verify mileage?
Its got some history, invoices and some MOT's, but no service book (although I know of one unscrupulous chap that makes up service history with a fake rubber stamp).

I just wonder if digial odometers are easily clocked.

Is it a laptop-plug-in-OBD easily changeable thing?

It's the bits that make human contact you should pay attention to. Gear knob, steering wheel, bolsters, these all give the game away yes
Yes quite, it was a couple of those things that got me wondering....

Thanks all.
