Just a thought seeing some of the MOT threads - who's got the oldest car that's never failed an MOT test? And what's the secret of success?

Best I've seen is 10 years but there must be some really old and reliable ones out there!

My 1973 Scimitar has never failed one.
A very fine effort! But we still have some way to go. The MOT test was introduced in 1960 so we need to keep on seaching the archives!

That's an excellent result after nearly 40 years!

and possibly 2 of the original Michelin ZX tyres. 30,000 only from new still in pristine condition.
30,000 on a set of tyres with tread still remaining sounds astounding. I believe Michelin tyres from that era were known as "Slippery Xs" - no doubt due to a remarkably hard-wearing tread without much grip!
