Best car for MPG at 80 mph

Typically when your speedo shows 80 mph, you are probably going at 75/76mph. I've not known anyone to be pulled over at 75/76 mph on a motorway. (Unless you are driving badly).

What sort of mpg can you expect from the most economical cars? (I'm guessing 55mpg) (My old 320d coupe managed about 48mpg).

I've just been looking at the Insight but seems the hybrids are not that great at higher speeds, they are better at around town driving.

I just did - you must have written it when I was writing! 60mpg+ is very, very good - bet your 911 isn't as good!
