Pic Of The Week: Audi Quattro Concept
No bum notes in today's POTW...
We know we've gone on about it a lot, but the simple fact is that we rather like Audi's new Quattro Concept, the company's homage to the 1984 Sport Quattro (or VW Corrado, if you believe the thread attached to our previous story on the Quattro Concept).
It's also a bit odd to use the rump of a car in POTW but, since the general PH consensus seems to be that the nose is not the Quattro Concept's best angle, we thought we'd hide it. Besides, this is the view most other road users will see of the car - it does do 0-62mph in a claimed 3.5secs, after all.
Anyway, enjoy - and keep those fingers crossed that Audi decides to make it.

It would have been nice to have seen one of the new Lotus' as POTW rather than a the back of a german concept car.
Agreed. Not particularly interested in this and it won't be relacing the McLaren MP4-12C wallpaper I'm using like a nice pic of the new Esprit might have done.Morba said:

There are lots of pics of the new lotus range out there. Well done to PH for picking something a little different.garyhun said:
They are indicating a price of around £86K when (if?) they build it. At that price I'd have a second hand R8 every time.
I guess a very low run to keep up exclusivity MAY work!
hmmm, because if I had £86,000 to spend on a car i would spend it on a car that looks like a cut and shut hatchbackI guess a very low run to keep up exclusivity MAY work!
hased on a £57,000 car but without the looks rather than say an R8 which is cheaper new.
Congrats audi for trying something new but by god what are you thinking attempting to put it into production
why are new cars and concepts granted the default status of 'desirable'? it's a good looking car, but dare i say it, doesn't look much like the original (unlike the new stratos thingy, which is a great take on the original).
I love the fact is keeping with the original spirit and going for a 2.5l 5 pot turbo. stratos people shouldve thought of this before choosing a V8.
on a more relevant point, this could be more justifiable as a POTW, were the camera at a slight angle. The straight ahead angle makes it look rather bland. It's all about the angles!
