Video: PH Sunday Service At Porsche

700 cars make the pilgrimage to the largest Sunday Service yet

Last Sunday, the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone groaned under the weight of 700 PH cars, basking in the crisp winter sunshine at what was arguably our best Sunday Service ever (we'd certainly argue it), and definitely our biggest yet.

We had everything on display, from a Grinnall to a Diablo, an Audi 80 to our own competition-prize Subaru WRX STI and quite a few superbikes. Eclectic is the best way to describe it, and the display perfecty demonstrated the broad range of cars we attract on PistonHeads.

Porsche Panameras were on hand to take PHers for demonstration drives, and by 'demonstration' it appeared they meant 'go as sideways as possible'. The GT3 also came out on the hour to show how sideways is really done. In addition to the on-track displays, PHers were also offered tours of the Porsche facility and could eat a fine breakfast laid on by the in-house Porsche catering team.

The PH team were on hand to greet the cars on the gate (yes, we were the reason for the queues to get in) and we were amazed to be handed gifts by some of you as you entered. PHer Bigburd's mother provided us with freshly cooked mince pies and a prize for BTaP too, the hobbymaster gave us all party bags with sugary goodness inside and two others (we didn't catch your names I'm afraid) gave us some biscuits and chocolate. Thanks guys, that was very kind of you and totally unexpected.

The team at Porsche UK kindly produced a video of the day too. If you didn't make it to the event you can see what you missed, and if you were there see if you can spot yourself in the footage.

We would like to thank all of the PHers who turned up on the day - the Porsche guys said it was a pleasure to have you at the venue and commented on how friendly you all were and how much they enjoyed your company. In return we would like to thank Cristina and Jo (along with the entire Porsche team) for making the day happen in the first place and for looking after us all so well.

If you entered the raffle on the day, we can announce that the winner was Paul Gadsby with ticket number 23.

For more photos from the day see here.
