Got this in the Audi/vag section but seems slow over there even though only posted this morning
Seriously considering an S8 V10, ticks all the boxes for what i want.
I am not concerned over the fuel bills but any owners provide any experience over the running costs, services, relaibility etc
Any feed back appreciated.

Had mine for just over 16 months now.
No issues whatsoever with it, servicing is reasonable at my local dealership (compared to the AMG I used to have).
Fuel is a bit of a problem, mine has averaged 18.6 mpg, though as you say this is not really an issue then go for it.
Handling is above average for a car weighing over two tons and straight line performance, especially overtaking acceleration, is excellent.
I don't really do the mileage now so it was a good choice for me, quiet, quick and *very* comfy.
Good bit is that they seem to be holding their price well, though I'm sure that this will change when I come to swap.
Try to get the ceramic brake option, makes cleaning wheels a thing of the past.
As with most cars, newer and lots of options is better.

What sort of range are you getting to a tank?

Not that fast?
Don't speak to the owners of Bruntingthorpe, in that case...
Not only is it ballistically rapid (180, 4 up through the beams, time after time at a previous Vmax event [the fastest saloon, so-passengered, there, to-date]) but the overall execution is exquisite.
A buddy of mine is a car detailer with the usual tick box résumé of Enzoesque exotica having passed beneath his micromeasured caresses - has always maintained this was the most stunningly presented package overall to have trundled from a factory gate.
The accusations of non-drivercentricism that Audi seem to attract by default rarely surface whenever I've hoofed one and as a large, luxury, über performosaloon, at c25-30 large, currently, it really is absurd vfm.
In short, a fantastic package that has enjoyed/suffered a life broadly below the radar - like an Alpina B7 - so few have the remotest idea of the reality.
Thanks for that. Fueling the fire nicely.Don't speak to the owners of Bruntingthorpe, in that case...

Have i picked the only car that no one has any thoughts , opinions or experiences of
Nicely built car that suffers from mega depreciation. Not that quick and corners like a ferry. I test drove one before the RS4. Lots of toys but no drivers car. I'd opt for the diesel as it needs more torque to haul its ass.Having driven a RS4 i cant say that in a straight line there is massive difference, but they feel different in the delivery.

Thanks for that. I did use the search button but it did not bring that up. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
