Best way to get a reliable1000 BHP?

Ok, time for a bit of creative PH thinking 
... What is the best & most cost effective way to get 1000 Bhp under your right foot? Rules are:
1)No Nitrous or race fuel, Shell V power is the best fuel you are allowed to use.
2)Superchargers & Turbos are fine.
3)Must have a chance of real world reliability/reusability, so an ex F1 1500cc Turbo engine is nice, but not really in the spirit of things!
4)Realistic prices, no "buy a Veyron" comments!
5) you can "buy" a car and tune it, or just build an engine to stick into the project of your choice!
